Welcome to the LGBTQ+ tab of Queens’ MCR.

Queens’ has a diverse and welcoming LGBTQ+ community, especially in the MCR. Throughout the year, there are many events organised by the college officers and throughout Cambridge to get involved with.

The MCR has an LGBTQ+ officer to represent our community at a college level and to organise socials throughout the year. Additionally, the officer is there for anyone wanting advice, support and as the first point of call for accessing welfare support. Your officer can be contacted at mcr-lgbt@queens.cam.ac.uk

There is an LGBTQ+ mailing list on CamSIS that will be used to keep you up to date with LGBTQ+ news in college, and to publicise more impromptu events. To subscribe go to Lists at cam; log in with Raven and search for quen-mcr-lgbt.

Sexual Health information

The students’ unions’ advice service provide confidential, independent and impartial support, advice and information. They are independent of the university, so they are particularly useful if you need to appeal a university or college decision, for example one relating to exam results. Nightline is a support service operating every day during term between 7pm and 7am. They can listen to anything you want to talk about via phone or instant message, and will provide confidential, anonymous, non-judgemental support.
