We are delighted to let you know that the Jameses are back this term by popular demand with another MCR-hosted wine tasting workshop. This time the event is on Sunday 8 March, from 8-10 pm in the Old Kitchens in Queens’. Dress is casual. We have 40 available spaces, and tickets will cost 8 pounds for Queens’ members and 10 pounds for guests. Both of these prices are lightly subsidized by your friendly MCR, and include all of the wine, which amounts to at least 1 bottle/person (and if we can swing it, maybe some cheese!).
The process for booking is as follows (please pay close attention):
- Leave your money (cheque made out to ‘Queens’ College MCR’, or cash) in my (Johanna Hanink’s) pigeon hole in College.
- Attach a note with your name and the names of your guest, if you have one. NOTE: As places are limited, there is in the first instance a limit of *1* guest per Queens’ member. PLEASE ALSO INCLUDE YOUR EMAILADDRESS. Please also indicate if you DID NOT attend the workshop in freshers’ week — you will be given priority.
- As soon as I receive your payment, I will send you an email to confirm your place.
- There is no need to email me unless you have a question, or are concerned that I did not receive your payment.
- Sign-up is first come, first served. If I receive your payment after the places have been filled, I will return it to your pigeon hole in college and email you.
Everyone really enjoyed the event in freshers’ week, and I’d encouragethose who did not attend (especially non-freshers) to come out and trysomething new! There may even be a prize for the most pretentious wine-flavour description…
