The Queens Arts Seminar, Erasmus Room, 7pm
Dr. Lorna Finlayson (King’s) ‘But What Would You Put in its Place? Norms of Constructiveness in Political Criticism.’ There is an expectation that political criticism should be ‘constructive’ rather than purely negative; this paper examines the assumptions often underlying this expectation.

MCR Quiz Night! QBar, 8:30 - Ok, you clever little things, it’s time to show us just how much useless knowledge you’ve acquired in your decades-long education. Prizes and accolades await you!
Sunday, 23 October:
Wine Tasting in Old Hall, 7:30-10:00, £10 – This is a fantastic opportunity to sample some rare and delicious wines amidst the finery of Old Hall. Sommelier and CU Blind Wine Tasting champion James Hutchinson will lead the group through a general introduction to wine tasting followed by generous sampling. It promises to be a great evening.

To secure your reservation, you can leave payment (£10/ticket) in an envelope in my pidge or with the porters, if you feel more comfortable. Payment must be received by this Friday, 21 October at 5pm.
